Frequently Asked Questions
We are always looking for skilled and trained professionals who can support our Operations teams – including finance, human resources, administration, marketing, and more. So, we do prefer that you have previous experience or qualifications in one or more of these areas of need. However, we also welcome volunteers who are willing to jump in and serve where is most needed, which often does not require previous training or experience. If you’d like to discuss your experience with one of our team members and how you might be able to contribute, get in touch with us.
Once we receive your application, our team will be in touch to discuss where your skills might fit best and be most needed. If you have a particular interest in one of our causes or countries of focus, we are happy to discuss how you might be able to support it specifically.
We prefer that volunteers are available to support at least a few hours a week for the duration of your time with us. However, if you have more hours available to support our teams, we are very happy to accommodate that.
Once you’ve been placed with a team, they will provide whatever training and support you need to succeed in your volunteer role and ensure you feel part of the team.
Yes. Many of our volunteers come with corporate experience and transferable skills we can learn so much from. And if you’re looking to start a career or change career paths to humanitarian work, then volunteering with us is a great way to learn what it takes.
