Our profile
We look for experienced professionals who...
- Hold a higher-level degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in the areas of Humanitarian Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Process Engineering,Business Management, or other related area of expertise
- Have previous experience (ideally within a development or emergency context) procuring supplies, managing stocks and equipment, overseeing facilities and security, and arranging travel and transport
- Preferably have strong knowledge of international humanitarian guidelines and have previous experience with institutional donors
- Possess training and skills in project management, budget management, and people management—especially the teaching, training, and empowering of other staff

The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring an effective supply chain is in place, and that standard logistics and related administrative systems are established and implemented. The role provides strategic direction, oversight, management and evaluation of all aspects of logistics, ensuring relevant information, reporting and accountability requirements are met. The Logistics Manager plays an important role in external representation, legal compliance, team leadership and capacity building of logistics staff.

Medair’s Relief & Recovery Orientation Course (ROC) is a one-week simulation course that will help determine if a humanitarian career with Medair is the right fit for you, and if you are a strong fit for Medair. After participating in the course, you will enter a “pool” of qualified candidates that are ready to be called upon to respond to humanitarian crises. When needs arise in our country programmes, we will offer you a position in line with your competencies and our needs. If you apply for an international position, the ROC will be mandatory for you to work in our country programmes.
