Actively participate to develop, support, monitor and evaluate the country emergency nutrition project(s), support the heath project managers in managing and reporting on the projects in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget with a focus on response to new crises requiring assessments and short-term interventions. Climate & DRM-DRR Technical Advisor

Experienced in donor relationships, the Country Technical Advisor provides strategic orientation, support, monitoring, review and evaluation of some aspects of the MDG programme, in one or more sectors such as Climate, DRM-DRR (Disaster Risk Management – Disaster Risk Reduction), WASH, Shelter-Infrastructure and CASH assistance. He/ she plays a key role in strategic thinking and programme implementation, helping the Sr management in securing funding and enhancing its stability (target: $500k-$1m per year), which includes advice to the PFM on potential donors and partnerships, and technical support to proposal writing, project implementation and reporting, also improving its quality. The Country Technical Advisor brings a solid contribution for better impact for beneficiaries through improved quality and exit strategies – more sustainable and in partnership with private actors – analyses of medium and long-term sustainability of Medair realisations of the last 3 years and make suggestions on how to restore/ revalorise failures could be envisaged.

Comment puis-je postuler ?

Puis-je effectuer un stage ou être bénévole à Medair ?

Pour les postes basés sur le terrain, nous ne recrutons que des personnes justifiant d’une première expérience professionnelle et pouvant s’engager pour une durée minimale d’un an. Nous ne proposons donc pas de stages sur le terrain mais nous vous encourageons vivement à postuler lorsque vous aurez acquis une première expérience au terme de vos études.

Puis-je postuler si je n’ai pas d’expérience humanitaire ?

Etant donné la complexité des contextes dans lesquels nous intervenons, nous considérons qu’il est essentiel que nos équipiers connaissent bien leur métier avant de rejoindre une de nos missions. Nous demandons à ce que les candidats justifient au minimum d’une année d’expérience dans le secteur concerné. Si vous venez de terminer vos études mais que vous avez acquis suffisamment d’expérience pratique grâce à des stages, nous pourrons envisager de faire une exception. Y a-t-il des exigences linguistiques pour pouvoir travailler à Medair ?

Si nos équipiers viennent du monde entier, la langue de travail de l’organisation est l’anglais. Tout candidat dont la langue maternelle n’est pas l’anglais doit être en possession d’un certificat d’aptitude en langue anglaise afin de pouvoir travailler sur le terrain.
