Every drop matters

Bringing safe water to every community
Be a lifeline to people living in crisis.

Life can change in an instant. When it does, we are there.
We save lives
We restore hope
We partner generously
At Medair, remote doesn't mean unreachable
Right now, from Madagascar to South Sudan, families walk for hours for contaminated water. Children suffer from preventable diseases. Entire communities survive on hope alone – in places where resources and attention are desperately needed.
We drill wells in remote villages. We repair water systems in refugee camps. We bring clean water to hard-to-reach places. Because water isn't just survival; it's dignity, health, and hope restored.
In the last year alone, Medair provided clean water access to thousands of people across dozens of countries, preventing cases of waterborne disease and transforming entire communities. Your donation brings clean water to families who have been waiting far too long.
Madagascar: breaking the cycle
Where climate change hits hardest
Southern Madagascar faces relentless drought and destructive cyclones that have devastated crops and made clean water scarce. Since 2018, we've built 38 water points and brought clean water to over 20,000 people across 6 villages. Our gravity-fed system carries water from mountain sources to reservoirs atop the Mahafaly plateau, transforming daily life. But three more villages, including one school, are still waiting. With your support, we can connect them to our network, bringing clean water within just 600 metres of 1,000 people's homes and ending their exhausting daily water walks. Transform 3 more villages

South Sudan: immediate impact
From contaminated river to clean hope
At a primary school in Leer, children had no choice but to drink from the contaminated Nile River for three months, risking deadly diseases like cholera. After our team repaired the borehole, clean water flowed again, bringing immediate relief and saving lives in South Sudan. As our project manager Fred explains, "Access to water saves lives, prevents serious diseases, and restores hope to an entire community." This is why we work where life is most at risk, where every day without clean water can push families toward disaster. In these forgotten crises, your support makes the difference between despair and dignity. Donate today – your generosity will save lives
Afghanistan: building resilience
29 years of commitment to solving the water crisis
After the worst drought in 30 years, Afghanistan faces a growing water crisis with 21 million people needing urgent water assistance. For more than two decades, Medair has built water points in remote drought-affected areas, training local Water User Committees to manage and maintain these vital resources. Today we continue responding by building gravity-fed and solar-powered water networks that provide sustainable access to safe water. Our approach doesn't just deliver immediate relief but creates lasting resilience in communities that have endured decades of conflict and climate challenges. Read full story
